You are manager of the human resource department at a large company. You will meet a group of new employees. You want to develop a PowerPoint presentation that describes your company’s corporate ethics code on privacy that addresses both employee privacy and the privacy of customers and users of the corporate Web site. There are a vast number of examples you can access on existing corporate Web sites to use as models (note: using them as models to create your own presentation; do not copy them!). Develop a PowerPoint presentation that must contain at least 15 slides. Your presentation must include the following topics:
First of all power point presentation should be attractive and easy to understand. new employees should feel enthusiastic and privilaged to work in the company. As mentioned, there should be 15 slides.
1. Title : ETHIC CODE ON PRIVACY by "NAME"
2. Privacy is the ability of an individual or group to seclude themselves or information about themselves,and thereby express themselves selectively.When something is private to a person,it usually means that something is inherenly special or sensitive to them.
3. In general, a company's privacy policy can be put together as the right to be free from secret survelliance and to determine whether ,when,how,and to whom ,one's personal or organizational information is to be reveled.
4. Protection of privacy is intended to protect the rights of people and employees at work place and it is the reflection of the corporate business well being that shows its ethical approach towards the work and its customers.
5. Employees have a right to privacy in the workplace,as well. This right applies to the worker's personal items,which include briefcases or handbags,as well as storage lockers and private email accessible only by the employee.
6.Other employee rights include: being free from harassment and discrimination of all types.
7.Workplace well being relates to all aspects of working life ,from the quality and safety of the physical environment,to how workers feel about their work,the climate at work and work organization.
8. Workers well being is a key factor in determining an organization's long term effectiveness.
9.Employee monitoring is the use of various methods of workplace surveillance to gather information about the activities and locations of staff members.
10. Employees can keep themselves on sound ethical and legal grounds by monitoring only internet use for business-related reasons .
11.Under the National Labor Relations Act ,it is illegal for an employer to monitor or conduct any survrillance of employee union activities, including off the job meetings,life styles or gatherings.
12. While you can regulate your employees behaviour at work,your employees off-duty conduct is a different story.
13. Most companies keep sensitive personal information in their files- names,social securtiy numbers,credit card, or other account data- that identifies customers or employees.
14. Employers need to treat their customers private personal data respectfully and fairly.It can create customer goodwill and even lift sales.
15. Business partners should work in partnership with the company and its other suppliers to meet the expectations of their customers to ensure quality.
16.Business partners should respect and treat in accordance with agreed terms.
17. As per the agreement between the partners and the suppliers ,the company should protect their data's without sharing .
