Would the presence of an on-site wellness center influence your decision to work for a particular organization? Why or why not?
First, i would explain about the onsite wellness centers and what they actually stand for. Onsite wellness clinics are directly paid by the employer and are dedicated towrds the people which the employers choose to include in the program. It may be the only employees or direct family members of the employee. These are dedicated majorly to all the employees to make it easier for them to get a top quality primary care, wellness services and prevention services. The major goal is to offer the right treatment at right time to right person.
Now,
As per the Maslow's heirarchy of needs, Safety needs are the second basic needs of the employee to work for a company. Also, these are the important needs which promotes satisfaction about their care by the company in the mind of the employees. The Safety needs majorly include personal, security, employment, resources, health and property needs of an employee. Hence, Health needs are the ones which improves the satisfaction of an employee to work for a company and also improves the productivity further.
As per my opinion, health is one of the major factors which impacts our life on a daily basis. A bad health of an employee might not just worsen the productivity of the employee but also the personal life of the employe on serious levels. Again, good health of the employee might not just let the employee focus on work but also will improve the retention of employee from the business' perspective.
Hence, i would join a company which provides health benefits to me and my family in terms on an on-site wellness clinic rather than a company which pays me 10% extra salary.
The best living example for the same is Tata Group of Companies in India. They are the role model for the employee centric organizations in the country. The health benefits provided to the employees during their services makes the company more productive than any other competitor.
