Bullying can be defined as behavior
which is aggressive in nature . This behavior involves intentional
and repeated injury and discomfort to an individual . Bullying can
result in both physical and mental trauma to an Individual . It is
common in schools and colleges where children and teens are
generally involved in this kind of behavior. There are different
types of bullying . Let us discuss them one by one
- Physical bullying - This involves Physical abuse
of the victim which involves kicking , tripping , pinching ,
pushing . It has both short term and long term effects
.
- Verbal bullying - This type of bullying involves
verbal abusing , racist slurs, homophobic slurs ,teasing behaviour
and different types of insults.
- Social bullying - This type of bullying is often
converted and is done in a stealthy manner .In this the reputation
of the individual is targeted in the community . This is done by
spreading false rumours , encouraging social exclusion , mimicking
and by damaging the social reputation of someone .
- Cyber bullying - In this type of bullying the use
of IT such as social media , computers , phones are done to harm
the reputation of an individual .It is also a type of covert
bullying . This type of bullying involves harmful texts sharing of
explicit videos and audios etc .
Bullying also involves shaming
someone on their body . An example of this is shaming someone or
physically abusing someone who is too thin or too fat . It has also
affect the person mentally and sometimes lead to mental disorders
such as depression .
