A political party is an organisation that consists of many like minded people who believe in a single ideology. They are also people who operate with an intention of helping people and the society live a better life. There are different kinds of political ideologies that are available in the world such as democratic, republic, communist party etc. The most important function of a political party is to contest elections, form government and fulfil the promises that they announced during the election campaign. Only when a party becomes the ruling party they will be able to implement whatever they have decided to do for the people. They do anything to come to the power. Besides this, they also operate as the opposition party by pointing out the mistakes of the ruling party this bringing the people's issues to the forefront. One of the best example is to US election where the parties did everything at their disposal to convince people that they would do everything that would benefit people of they are elected. It even ended up in a debate of Russian involvement in the election results.
