Answer: 3. Workers are viewed like machinery, needed to get the job done, nothing more.

Explanation:

Lean Production: Lean Production was first started by the Toyota in 1930 and also called as "The Toyota Way". Lean production is the manufacturing process that helps in reducing waste within the production and maximizing quality. Reducing waste is one of the main essentials in lean manufacturing, that does not value the customer.

- There are frequent, small deliveries - Lean Production work on the concept of Just in time process, in which product starts once the customer confirms the order, so there would be low or zero inventory in the process. The process to too fast as compared to traditional production methods and the production will be based on customer orders and deliver low quantity as well.

- Lean production creates a business partnership with the supplier and believes in a win-win situation for both manufacturers and suppliers.

- In lean manufacturing, the worker and employees are very respectful and their ideas and opinions are accepted in all the processes.

- Pull system is used in lean production where the raw material flow depend on the customer demand and it help in reducing waste and work in process quantity.
