Objective: Set up a desktop for someone who is visually impaired.
How and why would you change their experience? What are the steps
you would take to setup a desktop to help someone who is visually
impaired?
Ans. Visible disability is a term used by specialists to describe some form of lack of vision, whether it is someone who is unable to see at all or someone who has partial loss of vision. Few persons are fully blind, but even more, have what is known as legal blindness.
Assistive Technology:
Hardware or applications used by people with disabilities to access computers, phones, tablets, and written content. There are many forms of assistive technology, and various disabilities need a range of devices.
To change their experience we can provide them with the Assistive technologies using which they will be able to use the devices and other Applications. Those people have an opportunity to feel a new experience and to take knowledge from these kinds of applications so it would be beneficial from them and if we will help them in this methodology then it is for a good cause and we should do that to make our selfs proud.
Steps to set up a desktop to help someone who is visually impaired:
To expand the computer up to 16 times, use the Zoom Function Magnifier or the Windows + Plus main combination.
Windows Magnifier provides three separate approaches to expand the computer.
Fullscreen: the contents of the entire screen will be magnified in full-screen mode. This implies, of course, that not all the details can be seen at once, so you will need to scroll through the screen tremendously in order to be productive. When the magnifier is running, press Ctrl + Alt + F to enable the full-screen mode.
Docked View: In Docked View, a part of your screen is docked to your monitor, and the information displayed varies as you step across the screen. Click Ctrl + Alt + D to enable Docked mode while Magnifier is running. The "docked" part of the panel remains unmagnified.
Lens mode: Lens mode is like putting a magnifying glass up to the monitor on your computer: a part of the screen will be magnified; the remainder will look normally. The lens is accompanied by a mouse pointer or text cursor. You should also use the cursor to move the read lens. Click Ctrl + Alt + L to enable the Lens mode when Magnifier is running.
