In this approach nursing practices are based on the observed evidence as a foundation. In the evidence based nursing we use the most recent technology and methods for providing good healthcare which have been evidenced with high quality studies and statistically significant research findings.

The main aim of Evidence based nursing is to advancement of healthcare and patients safety of patients with cost-effective manner to improve the outcomes for both the patient and the healthcare system. Evidence based nursing is a proceeds through the collection, interpretation, appraisal and integration of valid, clinically significant data and new research.

These evidences in nursing used to change practice and take decision which may be categorized in the different levels of evidence that can vary in types of study and quality.

Evidence based nursing implies the best knowledge of the nurse, patient's response, adaptation of new technology, clinical experiences and research findings which must utilized and collaborated to produce an appropriate solution to the task at hand. Presently these efficient skills are brought into the syllabus of nursing education and also have been applied in the professional training.
