How might a brain image of a person with a mental disorder differ from a person without a mental disorder? Choose a specific mental disorder (e.g., schizophrenia, drug addiction, etc.) and describe the differences.

A person with mental disorder differ from a person without a mental disorder. Basically mental disorder is a type of mental illness that impacts on person's feeling, thought, emotions and behaviour as well. There are many types of mental disorders, these are like schizophrenia, drug addiction, generalized anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder etc.

Definition of Depression: Depression is a mental health disorder that effects in our daily life and feeling like depressed, restless, worthless and also fatigued. It is a emotional state which destroy our daily life functions.

Common symptoms of a person with depression :

  • Behavioural symptoms- Feeling irritation, overwhelmed, excessive crying, sleepless, socially isolated, esape from crowded place, least interested to join any community or any group etc.
  • Change in Mood- Anger, worthless, aggressive, restless, happy to be alone etc.
  • Cognitive symptoms- Always negative thought arise, thoughts of suicidal, can't concentreat any specific things, low self esteem, always feeling guilty etc.
  • Physical symptoms- Feeling chest pain, nausea, headache, muscle pain, digestive problems, weight loss or weight gain, not interested in sexual activities etc.

So, these all are the common symptoms of depression. Depression is very harmful for our mind and health as well. When we feel depression by any causes we need to go for an counselor or psychologist who can assist us. If we do not take care of our mental health, we can be involved with any violence activities.

Common symptoms of a person without depression : Person without depression have their healthy personality and a good mental health that impacts ln their behaviour, thoughts, feelings and etc.

  • They are happy with their daily activities, energetic, enthusiastic, talkative and etc.
  • Person without depression, they are always involved with socially, love to join any community or group and they have some perticular friend circle.
  • They have a high self esteem and a high level of confidence.
  • They are very logical and their cognitive thoughts are very intellectual or meaningful.
  • Person without depression are interested in sexual activities. and etc.

Therefore, this is the image of a person with a mental disorder differ from a person without a mental disorder.

Common causes of Depression: As depression is a serious mood disorder, it have some causes by which we depressed. There are some common causes of depression explained in below -

  • Family problem: Family problem can make us depressed. Research found that children those have a good relationship with their parents their depression rate is lower than those children who have bad relation with their parents. So parent-child communication is a major factor of depression. Apart from that, after marriage or coming late issue is also involved for cause of depression.
  • Happened any abusive behaviour: Any past experience in sexually or physically and mentally abusive behaviour can cause of a depression. As a example- robbery, rape, murder etc.
  • Genetic cause: Genetic factor also affects in depression. A depressed parent's child have a tend to be depressed more than a non depressed parents.
  • Fear of death or injury: Coming cause of earthquake or tsunami can cause of high depression. People will more anxious for natural disasters. As well as any natural disasters can create a serious mental health issue like- post traumatic disorder, major depression etc.
  • Work pressure in industry: People who worked in any corporate sector , they have being pressurized by senior client or officers, So it effects us mentally. As well as lossing job also can cause of a depression.
  • Other Cause: People who are suffered from other mental disorder (like schizophrenia, panic disorder, personality disorder) , they tend to be criticized by sociaty so, they have being depressed.

How depression could affect in human behaviour:

As depression is a serious mental disorder so it affects your life. There are some points mention in below-

  1. Depression effects our career, job, education and any relationship also. It can destroy our aim and ambitions.
  2. Depression not only effects our health, it also effects our mind. A long time depressed person can harmfull because they tend to involved with any abusive behaviour or social violence activities.
  3. Depression can effect our personality. It can decrease our self esteem, confidence and will power.
  4. Depression can cause of bad performance in job sector because lack of energy and concentreation.
  5. Depression can increase the high risk of heart disease, diabetes etc.
