Advantages:

3) Cost for medical expenses are consistent irrespective of insured or uninsured persons. The private care can also be utilised under the single py system.

4) Costs for medical services are reduced under single pay system.

Disadvantages:

1) Waiting time is more as entire population is covered under single pay system.

2) Equity in medical care cost end up with less quality in care as more population demanding health care services.

3) Medical providers opt private practice unless it is a mandatory.

4) Shortage of doctors for growing population increases waiting time for helath services.
