Answer 1. This process is called Directing of a project. Directing a project is a process that shows how senior management controls the project. This is a part of the PRINCE2 process model. Prince2 is a project management tool that describes 7 processes to finish a project. Directing a project is a decision making process for senior management. Senior management involves only the decision-making process but they will not work in the day-to-day management process. The Project board handles this stage and provides guidance and participating in the decision-making process.
Answer 2. This process is called starting up a project. This is a very short pre-project process that gathers the necessary data to start the project. This is a short pre-project process but very important for any project. This is also a step process of the PRINCE2 process model. There are 3 sub-processes in this process that are,
a. All information related to the project will be gathered at this stage for the project team.
b. Appointing the project team and explaining their roles in the project.
c. Creating of the initiation stage plan.
