Neutrophilia: Neutrophils are a type of white blood cell that helps to cure damaged tissue and develop resistance against bacterial infection. Therefore, the rising of the neutrophil count indicates infection and injuries.

Explanation: The natural response of the neutrophil is against bacterial infection, injuries, tissue damage, and acute inflammation.  Not all bacterial infection causes neutrophilia. Neutrophils develop an innate immune system and kill the bacteria and fungi by phagocytosis and digestion therefore, response as a first-line defense. The body produces neutrophils in the bone marrow and in normal courses, it is 40-60% of the white blood cells in circulation. But in a bacterial infection or other inflammation, the body gives a special chemical alert to the mature neutrophils which then leaves the bonemarrow the comes to the action point by the blood stream to proved the defense strategies. Naturally, the percentage of neutrophils increased in this situation which is known as neutrophilia.
