Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides varying levels of care and support to physically and or mentally disabled individuals who are unable to care if themselves.
CNA is an individual working in health care.CNAs works under the supervision of Registered Nurse ( RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN).
CNA help patients fullfill their basic quality of life needs.
They are legally prevented from performing certain medical procedures.
A CNA is the liaison between the patient and the RN,LPN and other medical professionals.
CNA acts as the eyes and ears of the medical team.
CNA relays information between multiple patients and rest of the medical team.

Take patient's vital signs.
Transfer patient from wheelchair to bed or vice versa as required.
Assist patients in bathing and eating.

Unlicensed assistive personnel are Paraprofessionals who assist individuals with physical disabilities, mental impairments ,and other health care needs with their activities of daily living.
UAPs are not professional registered nurses who are not accountable to and work under the direct supervision of a professional registered nurse,LPN,or other health care professionals to implement specifically delegated patient care activities.
UPAs must demonstrate their ability and competence before gaining any expanded responsibilities in a clinical setting.While providing this care,UAPs offer compassion and patience and are part of the patient's health care support system.
UPAs care for patients in hospitals, residents of nursing facilities, client in private homes, and others in need of their services due to the old age or disability.
The responsibilities and duties of UAP include;
Observing,documenting and reporting clinical and treatment information,including patients behavioural changes.
Assisting with motion exercises and other rehabilitive measures.
Taking and recording blood pressure , temperature,pulse, respiration and body weight.
