Benefits that are legally required:

1) Social security programs : employers are leaglly required to provide these benefits according to the FICA(Federal Insurance Contributions Act) This is split evenly between the employee and employer, with each of them paying half of the contribution.

2)Family and medical leave : employers are leaglly required to provide, upto 12 weeks in a 12 month period of employment for valid reasons.

3)Unemployment benefits:Employers must pay for the unemployment insurance to assist employees who lose their jobs.

4) ERISAs( Employee Retirement Income Security Act) : These are there to protect protect the employees from mismanagement of their retirement funds.

5) Workers compensation services :Employers must provide minimum wage to the employees. Minimum wage can vary based on the state and city, but employers must always abide by it.
