Psychologist Lev Vygotsky proposed that with the development of children's cognition in terms of language, they grow learning about their cultural, social and environmental circumstances. Whereas,Jian Piaget, the well known scientist in the field of cognition believes that children grow their cognition with exploration that naturally develops as they mature up.

Vygotsky pointed out that children first try to engage their ownselves by talking out loud to themselves and they later interact with the objects present in their vicinity. While they grow older, they become capable of instructing their self behaviour as well as others.

Considering the research of these scientists, we can believe that language works as the salient feature in the development process of children's cognition. Without which, their capacity to grasp and learn would be haltered and the cognitive development would be obstructed. Thus, language plays not only vital but most fundamental role in the child's cognitive growth.

Because due to language, the child knows to interact, learn, grasp, understand and imitate the liked behaviours from others. The influnce of language in the cognitive development doesn't alone affects the ability but also aggravates the capability, behaviour and maturity.

IQ tests are sometimes used to assess children’s cognitive abilities. However, typical IQ tests draw on reading skills, which may translate into lower scores for dyslexic children. Nonverbal IQ tests should circumvent this issue, allowing us to ask whether there is a relationship between reading skills and cognitive abilities in dyslexic children. The table below gives the reading skill scores (on a standardized scale) and the nonverbal IQ scores (also on a standardized scale) of 22 dyslexic children aged 7...
