Please discuss how you would manage the ethical issues in producing and conducting a research study (e.g. confidentiality, informed consent, data collection, debriefing of participants).
When we think about research ethics, we think about the issues that arise when researching with a human or an animal. Managing ethical issues in conducting research is essential in several ways. Here are a few ways to manage ethical issues
Confidentiality
One should always respect something that has been provided in
confidence. One should appreciate the privacy of any sensitive
information provided, for example, patient records.
Laws and regulation
One should always have detailed information about the laws that
govern his research and should discuss this with the subject.
Objectivity
One should learn to avoid any kind of bias in their research, such
as interpretation, design, or peer review. For example, - you
should never have a peer reviewer as someone whom you may know.
This also means you need to share any personal information that may
affect your research.
Honesty
This means you need to carry out your research work with honesty.
This also applies to your data, methods, and results. You are not
supposed to exaggerate your findings. When working with one or more
researchers, you should try to cooperate and be supportive of any
agreements.
Beneficence
The main principle of beneficence means "Be of Help, not harm".The
Ethical policy of beneficence means you need to do active and
significant research to better serve and promote the welfare of
society.
