Answer:
The ethical and CSR issues of Amazon and how do the manage them are given below:

  • Amazon is an arch tax avoider and been subject to global boycott initiative taken by Ethical Consumer. For instance world's biggest retailer is generating lot of revenue in UK but pays very little corporate tax by finneling money through its holding companies in a tax heaven state called Luxembourg.
They get away with this becasue this manipulation of data and funneling falls under the law, its a kind of loop hole of the system that Amazon is using.
  • Amazon uses the same money saved via corporate tax to better position themselves in the market by offering various offers and promotions compare to its opponents who pay their full share of taxes.
  • Amazon maintains corporate social responsibility program for communities to influence consumer's perspective about company's goods and services.
  • Apart from above mentioned things Amazon does few goods things as well to maintain their image in front of the public. Few among them are mentioned in next points.
  • Amazon also pledged to actively take part in waste reduction, and recycling wherever possible. They have also pledged to bring carbon emission to minimum level in next 10 years.

Solution for the issue that might occur in future are as follows:

  • Strict guidelines should be made in CSR so that no one can use it for manipulation of the public.
  • Loopholes which are present in the government taxation system should be rectified such that multi national companies should not take unfair advantage of it.
  • Strict rule against monopoly or wrong trade should be passed by the countries against this.
  • In future renewable source of energy would be the only energy source that we would be having, for the same corporate companies should be instructed to decrease their carbon immision and switch to renewable source of energy as soon as possible.
