Why does college education keep getting more expensive? If you were in a position to make a change what would you recommend to change the tuition challenge?

Solutions

Expert Solution

  • When compared to the past, nowadays the College education is getting more and more expensive than ever before.
  • This is because of there has been a greater demand for higher education within an economy than before and to compensate this growing demand, the institutions are buying more fees from those who wish to join the college's. This has also become a means for the institutions to earn higher profits.
  • The urgent need for more faculty members, forces the college's to raise their salaries and due to lack of funding by the government, the college's try to buy more fees from the students.
  • If I was a policy maker and if I was in a position to make any change in the tuition challenge, I would implement policies that would Directly provide financial aid to the college's to prevent them from charging higher tuition fees from students.
  • I would also implement, scholarship and other benefits to all the student's equally irrespective of their caste, sex, orgin etc in order to support them financially and at the same time to encourage them further.
