The Working Stage of the group is active for members. Leaders need to develop and introduce activities that elicit member self-reflection and participation for change.
The first activity, which is supposed to be the best for self introspection, is the one where the person going into past encounter and tries to break them down and face certain things, so that they come out of it with a fresher perspective. This can be a bit tough to get going, but retrospective introspection generally helps victims of domestic violence to stop blaming themselves.
The second activity would be talking to another victim, while hearing and talking to another victim one can come to many realizations about why certain narratives they have taken on are unhealthy. In this approach they can understand themselves as well as try and help the other.
The third activity could be practice oriented, where people from these groups actively seek out other domestic violence victims and try to emotionally assist them. It is believed that taking the role of a healer and helper can drastically make the person feel like they have control over their own state and have even conquered it.
