Netflix's stance on a 'Glocalised' approach to its marketing efforts.
That is glocalised (mixure of global and local) and not globalised!
Glocalization is a combination of the words "globalization" and "localization." The term is used to describe a product or service that is developed and distributed globally but is also adjusted to accommodate the user or consumer in a local market.Netflix has also adopted glocalised approach to widen its market.Companies need to excel at leveraging local people(internal and external),customizing processes and adopting global technology to make smart glocalization strategies.
Netflix is one of the companies using glocalization.It has produced movie and T.V. series in localized languages which has resulted in a significant profit for Netflix.It also provides subtitles in different languages so that customers can understand it better. For example in India Netflix has produced more than 100 movies or series that includes different regional languages of India like Punjabi,Marathi and also Telugu.
