How would you feel if people in your adoptive country treated you with disrespect because you had not learned their language yet? What impact would their insistence have that you give up your native language and speak only their language have on your identity and wellbeing?
Individuals who are prone to cultural insensitivity tend to exhibit behaviour which might affect the psychological well-being of the individual in question. It is advisable for individuals moving into a different country to have knowledge about the native language of the country so as to help them with the daily stuff and also start new relationships with individuals who are already a part of the country and the community. However not every individual from the community is friendly enough to co-operate in the learning process of the new language and may blame the new individual for not being fluent in the native language. this can have a bad effect on the self identity and psychological well being of a person as it may lead to not only the association with the previous culture but also it is not easy for the psychological dynamics of an individual to adapt to a new culture without hesitation or issues.
