With a vision to provide all the comfort, care and a life which is surrounded by their loved ones is something the Hospice business work for. With the patients fight with an incurable disease and into their last phase the hospice care brings a special treatment which focus on symptomizing it rather cure. Hospice is also family centred – generally they discuss with patients and their family before decision making.

Record maintenance is an important task; it gives them valuable insights for past cases. As a Hospice care we collect multiple data which could be helpful in future as it relates to pain and symptom management purpose. As Hospice providers we need to prepare reports for upcoming public reporting which happens at regular intervals while also including some other quality related indicators.

Data example – these are captured during the very initial assessment and care plans which are mentioned below:

  • · Treatment Preferences: Considering the case of the patience and what preferences he made, whether it suits to his/her conditions or not,
  • · Beliefs/Values Addressed
  • · Pain Screening
  • · Pain Assessment: a report of all the pain related issues, their measuring, pain data are crucial information for Hospice care.

  • · Dyspnea Treatment and

Talking of Information Technology skills; when these illness data are gathered they are then stored into a database, these database storages can vary from usage and way of working. The other skill is managing and handling the treatment which relies on the notification. The collected data can be used to come up with business analytics or business graphs to serve any range of their purposes.
