The concept of Social Imagination (SI) was first created and popularised by C.W. Mill who defined SI as “the vivid awareness of the relationship between experience and the wider society”. The concept of Social Imagination (SI) can be described as the ability to see things socially and how they interact and influence each other.
The advantages of Social Imagination can best be illustrated by one single word “Empathy”. The sociological imagination is a kind of critical thinking that helps us to understand other people. It provides clues to the reason why a given person is under-educated, or unable to secure employment.
I will be benefitted by applying Social Imagination in my life.By application of Social Imagination to myself, I am able to find out the difficulties I am facing in shaping up of my career. Through Deep introspection, I am able to know the advantages or disadvantages I am having with my career and designing strategies to re-build my career.
