Is there a limit to cultural relativity? What is the relationship of human rights to group rights? Who decides what is right and wrong?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Cultural relativity refers to the idea of not being judgmental towards other cultures on the basis of belief of our own culture while stating them as right or wrong. There is a certain limit to it because it is not possible for all the individuals to be able to be sensitive about other cultures and to be able to think ok in perspective to other cultures when they may also not be having enough adequate knowledge about the culture of the other individual. there is a strong relationship between group rights and human rights because human beings are a component which are very important for the fulfillment of group rights as group rights talk about the collective Association of rights with the human beings involved in the particular group. There are moral and ethical Grounds lay down by the society which can be used to assess whether an individual or an activity right or wrong but there is no definite definition of right and wrong which can be universally applied to every individual on the planet.
