-> The difference between normal cities and smart cities is usage of technology. Normal cities can change to smart cities using technologies such as Internet of things, information and communication technology and sensors.
The usage of technology in smart cities can give following difference from normal cities:
->Effectively connect the objects using sensors will give real time data by that objects can be used effectively. For example LED lights, air conditioners working based on presence of people, street lights working based on light availability and people presence.
-> By taking real time data using sensors it is possible to provide streamlined transportation. By that citizens can know real time arrival of city bus and availability of seats etc. And based on real time traffic, adjustable traffic signals areaare used. Data collected from this sensors useful for analyse the necessity of providing new public transportation and new road ways construction and required capacity.
-> By using energy more efficiently Smart cities became more environmental friendly than normal cities. Smart cities consume less power when compared with normal cities.
-> People participation to find daily problems and give suggestions using apps also possible in smart cities.
