All the health care executives are acts as human resource managers, they will involve all the aspects of health care organization, they oversee each functions are being provided. Executives need to be prepared to work closely with the human resource management department. Executives are responsible for providing the best quality of patient care as same as HR managers does. They will have the leadership quality in order to create the productive and positive culture in health care organization.They sets the some standards for operational excellence.They will keenly observe the staff an hire and retain the qualified staff,Executives will helps organization to implement clinical policy and procedures, They helps to improve the productivity by developing the relationship with outside health care organizations,including referring physicians, medical enters and media.They also provides strong financial performance, They takes care of safety measures in the organizations. These all functions of executive are make sense that they works as human resource managers. The executives should be excellent communicator, and should have good leadership qualities.

Human resource management is the important sector in health care organization. These people are responsible for implementing and developing the health care system. They must follow the and adhere to licensure laws and guidelines. They must pay close attention while hiring staffs for the organization by checking their licence and credentials. Some of the challenges faced by the HR professional at health care organization are listed below.

  • Staff shortage: Most of the hospitals we can see there is not enough staff nurses or medial professionals, Who are working in the health care organization earlier got retired and leave the workforce in droves. Adding to this limited capabilities of nursing programs, and there is just not enough supply to meet growing organization and public demand..
  • Turnover: The main reasons for turn over is :work pressure and schedules, lack of job clarity and control over the job performance is less, not feeling valued or respected in the work environment for their capabilities, difficulty in managing the critical issue due to poor communication with management, not receiving rewards or recognition for their effort,lack of career opportunity. Retaining the qualified staff is critical in HR management of health care organization.
  • Training and development: Staffs in the health care field today are looking to learn new skills and gain access to advanced opportunities. Providing such kind of staff engagement programs, training and development are critical in health care domain. Providing the training and development may be costly but cost of hiring new staff and training replacement are even more higher.
  • Employee burnout: problem of employee burnout is tangled up with issues of staff turnover and staff shortage. Burnout has negative impact of the patients health, safety as mental emotional and physical exhaustion leaves providers not able to perform their best.
