From the perspective of HR Manager, employees are to be understood first. Their personal needs and professional needs have to be identified and synchronised. Their performance depends upon their happiness at work place. There are many things to be looked after for effective improvement in employee performance. The doors of communication should be always open so that employees can discuss their concerns and address them appropriately. Few employees with inadequate skills or lack of experience may be weak in their ability to perform their tasks properly. It can lead to under performance.Those should be identified and training to be provided on the job or off the job whichever required.
Employees need proper direction about their responsibilities, duties and they should be informed about the expectations of management . Daily work schedules that include job priorities might be affected if any crisis or changes in direction made. Goals can keep them moving ahead without much interruptions. Being accountable will help to minimise conflicts. Regular and timely appraisals helps HR manager to ensure employees to know where they stand and how they can go ahead. Conducting performance appraisals regularly keeps goals and excitement in the forefront of daily tasks. Encouraging activities keep them interested in performing their duties and they feel they are been valued by the company. It gives them an own feeling which in turn gives us more productivity. Their creative ideas can bring more opportunities and profits as they know what their work is all about and industry is. So these things can help an HR Manager in improving employee performance in a big way.
