Suppose you are interested in conducting an economic evaluation of two alternative treatments for diabetes. What type of analysis would be most appropriate and why? What outcomes would you consider in the analysis?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Economic evaluation mean the process used for systematic identification and measurement and valuation of input and outcome of two alternates.this is done for evaluation of identify best actions.

Economic evaluation can be done on the basis of cost effectiveness analysis .it can be done on the basis of cost benefit analysis .we can check through through cost utility analysis.

For doing evaluation we have to raise research questions.then we have to design the study .after then we have to measure cost of them.

Alternative treatment for diabetes .

1) Taking medicine for diabetes without changing daily routine

2) Adopting healthy life style by doing exercise, yoga .

Economic evaluation shall be done on the basis of data collected from sources These data shall be divided on the basis of age factor and level of diabetes basis.then we shall analysis how many person are in suffering from type -1 and type -2 diabetes.

Then we shall divided them on the basis of their disease level.how much cost can be arise in level -1 and how much cost can be arise in type -2 .we analysis both the data.

We will consider the disease level and their respective cost.as their is now permenant solution for this disease hence we should focused on how to control this level.

We will check the result .if their is drawback in economic evalution then we have to do another evaluation .
