Postpartum depression is a depression which takes place after childbirth. Insomnia is a major feature of this stage. Loss of appetite may also take place in this stage. Irritation of intense nature is also frequent symptom of this stage. Anti-depressant may act as a possible method of treatment in this stage.

Teen moms are prone to such postpartum depressive stages because people generally abandon them. They need someone to talk. Weak support system causes symptoms of postpartum depression in teen moms. Financial support also remains of weaker quality in teen age. This also causes a depressive stage.
