My current employer uses a proper combination of monetary and non-monetary rewards for motivating the employees. As we all are living in this materialistic world thus we need some money to maintain our lifestyles and fulfilling our basic needs. Thus my company pays the manpower more than the average industry rate of compensation as the employees in my organization are considered to have better skills, professional qualification, and experience than most of the other organizations in the industry working in the same designation. Apart from this, the company also offer the non-monetary benefits in the form of appreciation for good work, promotions, and awards. These kinds of non-monetary compensations will motivate me to perform better and give the best to the organization.

This proper combination of motivating the employee has really been effective as the turnover ratio in my company is very low and employees put their best in performing their jobs.

The employers can use the below-mentioned methods to improve the motivation of employees:-

  • The employees can be given some hike in their salaries as it will help them to motivate themselves as we know that money is one of the strongest motivating factors
  • Facilitating good working environment can also lead to a motivating team
  • Regular interaction with the manpower and understanding the troubles and issues faced by them and resolving these issues on immediate basis will also be quite helpful.
  • Facilitating good working tools will make the work of the manpower easy.
  • Recognizing their efforts and toil while serving the organization can be the best non-monetary tool
