The company has been consistently reducing water usage and wastage generation by adopting innovative technologies. For example through their colour dry technology, Nike dyes the fabrics without using any water. Similarly by using Flyknit technology the company reduced its wastes by more than 60%.
Through their reuse program, Nike recycled more than 30 million shoe pairs. After 2008, the company reduced their engery usage by more than 50%. Nike has been using polyester made of recycled plasitic to make its products. By continuously improving its manufacturing processes, Nike aims at achieving its zero waste target by the next decade.
Overall, the company is consistently working towards achieving its environmental and other sustainability goals.
