What is the importance of internal communication in the workplace?
Importance of internal communication in the workplace -
1. Better planning - Internal communication improves the quality of planning. The management can receive suggestions and comments from the subordinates. This will ensure formulation of effective plans throughout the workplace.
2. Effective operations - Internal communication helps the management in explaining the objectives, plans and policies of the workplace to the employees. This enables the workers to understand their job responsibilities clearly and relate to the objectives of the workplace. As a result there will be effective implementation of plans of the workplace.
3.Controlling - Internal communication helps in control by transmitting information about the performance of the subordinates to the manager within the workplace. If the information received by the manager reveals that the performance of the subordinates is not upto the mark, he can take corrective actions immediately.
4. Coordination - The major requirement for achieving coordination is the presence of an effective internal communication system. Top management can communicate its policies, objectives, programmes, etc. to the lower level and in turn receive reactions, suggestions and report from the lower levels.
5. Better human relations - Internal communication develops proper understanding between superiors and the subordinates in the workplace. It leads to better human relations in the workplace.
