How has covid 19 affected communication in the workplace
While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to challenge the world , one thing is starting to become certain and that is "Changes in Today's workplace". While working during the pandemic has been challenging and sometimes difficult to navigate, it has also highlighted the need for improvemnets to make communication at workplace to be more efficient with keeping safety in mind.
Internal communication is really very important for an organisation due to the pandemic concerns. It keeps employees informed and engaged so they can focus on achieving corporate goals. It keeps people connected. It ensures information flows in every direction and helps to build a cohesive team.
Many people expect when the pandemic is over, life will go back to normal. But this is unrealistic. Some of the long term affects on covid 19 on internal communication at a workplace are:-

(2) Employees expecting more communications about morale and mental health via their internal comms channels as they have become used to it and find it benficial.
(3) More targeted and real time communication. This includes internal comms team segmenting internal audiences and personalizing the messages and personalizing the message they sent people so that irrelevant information is minimized.
(4) An increasing scope of internal communications professional roles and responsibilities in their organisations.
