Consciousness
Psychologists have discovered that human beings experience
several different states of consciousness during the course of a
day. For example, people have times when they are especially alert
and times when they are awake but not alert, often called
"daydreaming." Also, while people are asleep, they experience
different stages of sleep, each characterized by different patterns
of brain and bodily activity.
In a multi-paragraph essay, discuss the different states of
consciousness that you have experienced in the past 24 hours,
including any periods when you were asleep, alert, or
"daydreaming." Be sure to describe both the brain and bodily
activity you experienced during each state of consciousness.
Include information from class materials, readings, and research on
states of consciousness to support your discussion.
The last 24 hours have been so much challenging for me. I started my day pretty eary at 5 am and things went so clear. I was having the bets time of my life and felt that the order of things that need to be completed will be done in a crisp manner. BUt then my dog fell ill. I had to hurry him to the vet and wait there for long hours. Both of us felt so much drenched and lacked energy to even come back walking. The day went such that all my energy level came to zero in juts sime time. On my way back home, we took teh local bus and my house was 1 hour away.
I found my self day dreaming and was wondering how it would look on the east side of teh city. It was some travel plan that i was postponning for the future, but that future got extended to 4 months and it never worked. I was in need for a break and felt this travel would be teh best medicine for me and it also eventually allowed me to have a pictue of things that really were close to my heart in so many ways.
