Work Ethics is very important in an organisation as it is the norms or behaviour governing the conduct of workers involved in the work situation to achieve the objctives of the organisation.this degree of involvement will result in the productivity and effectiveness of work. The duty of all managers to see that their organization maintains ethical practices and behaviors. Promoting an ethical climate in an organization is critical, since it is about the commitment and responsibilty.The important tasks of a manger to achieve its objectives are through:

  • Role Model and be visible: The manger should try to be a role model to the rest of the employees and also it should show the acceptable behaviour or standard in the organisation.Also the manager should be visible and transparent to the rest of the people in the organisation and also it provides positive messages to the subordinates.
  • Commitment and responsibilty: Every member of the organisation should try to take full responsibilty for the assignments alloted to them and also it is committed to the work they do.The manager should be able to delagate alll the works and responsibilty among the subordinates.
  • Offer ethical Training: the manager should try to set up seminars, workshops, and similar ethical training programs. Use these training sessions to reinforce the standards of conduct and try to resolve the dilemas of the organisation
  • Keep the Godwill of the organisation: The manager or the employees are brand ambassadors of the company .Hence it is important for the manager to keep up the brand value or the godwill of the organization by keeping the reputation or the ethical standard in the company.

Dimensions Of work Ethos:

  1. Protecting the interest of the organization:Interest of the organisation must be a concern of each and every member of the organisation.The manager should try to protect all the interest of the organisation by providing productivity and quality of the goods and services rovided.
  2. There should be an appropriate System: The manager should try to give a proper and systemtic system which include clear policies,proper rules and regulation,effective performane appraisal system,infrastructure and good communication system and also protective working environment which will enhance the productivity.
  3. Proper Communication System:There should be a proper and systematic communication system.The manager should try to give proper and effective communicative channels through which there will be proper communication happening, And there should be good communication which will lead to productivity in the organisation

The main important hazards or unethical issues faced by the health sector for providing responsibilty and patient care.

  • Confidentialty/ Privacy : In the health sector the main important issue or the hazard faced is the confidentiality of the patient or the privacy.Information about a patient’s medical condition is considered private. Violating a patient’s confidentiality can have legal and ethical consequences. The Health Insurance Portability and Accounting Act (HIPAA) has drawn up specific laws that govern the release of a patient’s medical information. These laws gives a brief regarding the information which can be passed to the third party and which information have to be kept confidential. As the manager is held responsible if any of the rules or laws are broken or adhered.Hence the manger should be very careful and responsibile recording, storing, and transmitting sensitive health information of a patient.
  • Managing relationship:.The health care administers should have a professional ethics and morale in working. They should not enter into any physical or personal relationship with the patients.Violating any of these policies will restrict or cancel the license to practice and also they should  manage relationships including stakeholders, external vendors ,diagnostic equipment, and software solutions. They should also make decisions in patients interest without any influence from outside.
  • Malpractices /Negligence:The patients should not be harmed with any defective medical equipments or if there is any medical errors they will have to recover with losses or sues.They are always at a risk of being charged with negligence or malpractises.
  • Consent: The health sector workers should always take a informed consent from the patients regarding the treatment provided to them.Informed consent is a consent which is provided by the patients regarding the procedures or treatments which is answered and also all the questions regarding the treatment is provided to them.If they are not provided any consent or their questions are not answered then if any medical error happens,it will be considered as homicide.

Ethical issues in healthcare have to take  immediate response, such as making decisions for patients The actions taken in ethical issues in healthcare clearly distinguish between what is right and wrong, and often.The manger should try to evaluate and analyse the risk including patients injury ,staff welfare and visitors within the organisation .The manager should try to stop or eliminate or minimize the risk .
