BPM stands for Business Process Managment and is considered as a discipline model in operation managment which give liberty to people to explore various methods like discover,model,analyze,improve and automate the business process.Any combination of methods used to manage process of company business is termed as BPM.

Need for BPM in the company-:

1)Reduce Business Costs-For many of the companies to opt for BPM model,this is one of the main reason as compnay target is to reduce costs to make profits.It begins with understanding the business process and to make all the insights of all processes involved in company iin detail and once we make insights and processes it is easier to understand where to reduce costs and identifying control issues.

2)Respond to new customer Demands-If you want your business to be successful you need to be responsive to every need and problem in the company,you must be able to get the new changing demands of customers and react quickly to it.Here,also model of BPM plays important role to force Decision-makers to pay attention to it.

BPM allows to modelling new ideas that are centered around customers and can be implemented in the situations.By focusing needs of customer,managers can know about the need of the customer and their changing demands and some benefits are knowning new needs often go to improved productivity indirectly and processes become adaptable to meet the new changing needs and creativity,innovation gets encouraged.

3)Increase Productivity-As day by day competition is rising between the industries and due to increased competition,companies need to make their best efforts.BPM plays a mojor role in increasing customer productivity of company and enables companies to give better and best to customers.When companies go thorugh Overhaul process this make them realise several organizational goals and to improve producutity is one of them and able to reduce lag time and make order complete even more faster

BPM is considered as a cycle as it includes various tasks to be performed which you need to understand all the process of company and make a step by step process chart.

The Stages of BPM are-:

1)Design-Major of processes consist of form that require data input and requires workflow to process and imply it.And we need to get knowledge about the inputs required to build the form.

2)Model-Here we constitute whole process with the help of visual layout.

3)Execute-The process is executed with a small group of people to run a trail before making it usable to all the users.

4)Monitor-This Stage Requires a lot of attention as the entire process is being monitored as it runs through workflow.Measuring efficiency and problems all are done at this phase.

The Role of COBIT is to be supportive tool for the managers and allows to connect sensitive gap between tecnical issues,business risks and control requirements and it helps to ensure quality ,control of information system in company.
