The manager of the project showed desirable project behavior in the following ways:
1) Integrity:
The project manager demonstrated integrity by taking honest decisions, protecting and caring for people, leading major change, defending core values, believing in team and self, honoring trust, establishing a project culture of honesty, showing respect, and showing total commitment to both people and project.
2) Communications:
He showed good communication by listening well to the subordinates, resolving issues appropriately, openly sharing information, and listening well.
3) Human resources:
The project manager efficiently managed human resource issues by leading in a facilitating way when possible and forcibly when required. He should develop an effective team by rousing confidence, empowering subordinates, and retaining and attracting employees for the project.
4) Combination:
The project manager acted as an efficient integrator by balancing the needs of all stakeholders, leading the chartering process, monitoring earned value, making sensible tradeoff decisions, and understanding clearly how the project helps in the achievement of the organizational goals.
5) Schedule:
The project manager acted as an efficient scheduler by understanding the project life cycle, leading schedule development, concentrating on attaining key milestones, understanding logic and resource limitations, and taking schedule judgments while remaining aware of scope and cost issues.
