The covid19 which is coronavirus is a widespreding disease over the whole world which is caused by SARS-COV-2. The disease was first outbreaked in wuhan situated in china on december of 2019.World health organization declared it as pandemic on march 11.

In the Philippines, the initial case of covid-19 was outbreaked in the City of Manila. On 20th january 2020, the disease had highly advanced to Metro manila. For a month, no fresh cases were reported. Then on march 5, a 62 year old man was confirmed the disease. He had visited a muslim prayer hall in metro manila. Due to this, the government and people feared that there is a chance for a community spread. On march7, his wife was also affected by the disease. From there, a massive number of people were affected by covid-19. Manila in philippines is the region were the disease is most worstly affected. From march15 onwards, the region went into a state of community quarantine for thirty days.

The DOH secretary on april7 th reported that 80% of the total 3764 cases in the nation was from the region of metro manila. Due to the sudden increase in the cases and death reports, the quarantine was extended upto 15th of may. Metro manila was stated as MGCQ(modified general community quarantine) upto 31st of may, 2020.

At present, there have been 17222 cases of the disease exists in the philippines on 30th of may, 2020. 10868 of the them are people living in the metro manila. 2793 recoveries and 709 people were died the region of metro manila due to the pandemic covid-19.
