At present, covid-19 pandemic is the biggest problem in over the world. Mortality and morbidity rate of corona has been increasing day by day. To prevent the spread of covid-19, countries have taken effective measures. Many countries have effectively closed their borders to all but their own citizens imposed strict controls on internal travel and ordered people to stay in their home. In most of the countries, they keep their citizen in isolation if they are suspected to have corona virus.Covid - 19 has negatively affected all aspects of person's life.
Covid-19 was first reported in Wuhan, China on December 30,2019.From their this was spread to different part of the world differently. The presence of corona virus was reported to WHO. The virus was initially referred to as novel corona virus 2019 by the WHO but on 11,February 2020 WHO given the official name of SATS-Cov-2.The disease caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus is known as corona virus disease 2019 or covid-19. The virus appears to be transmitted primarily through droplets but the virus has also been found in blood and stools. The incubation period of virus is 24 days. The infectious person has the symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue shortness of breath and it was also noticed that at the end of the first week of infection pneumonia or respiratory distress may also develop. The FDA issued new guidelines giving laboratories the ability to develop novel Covid-19 molecules diagnostic test on February 2020.The treatment included supportive care and oxygen supplementation when needed. Remedesivir was effective in the treatment of SARS-Cov-2 and mixture of HIV protease inhibitors was also trialed in patient with Covid-19. Chloroquine, a malaria drug was also effective to prevent the entry of SARS-COV-2 entry into cells. No vaccine against SARS-Cov-2 is currently available. The CDC recommended that health care workers should use PPE in order to prevent the spread of infection.
