If you are an Activity or Sub-Activity Manager, what should you look for in designs? State which Activity or Sub-Activity you manage and any relevant examples of concerns that you have addressed.

An Activity Manager execute the design works leading the team to develop a safe and efficient design. In the design process, As a manger, one should be able to communicate effectively and manage the design activities at assured time-bound.

Activity manager develops a certain strategies for the design such that design team will execute at brisk pace with apt implementation over the project. This starts from the early stage of inspection during the design till complete design of the safely designed structure. This is underwent through deep scrutiny over each and individual activities which leading to the transformation and updating of the work.

Drafting the charts or proposed site plan work on to computer with the software system is initiated activity that is promoted by Manager for further tasks with thorough examination. Later, Developed project plan is all set to design with appropriate safety measures and adequate loadings for the structural safety. Here, The Manager is assigned with an active roll to command the team for assured safe check to avoid all types of man made errors. This event is the critical event where the work is to be carried with adequate safety. Ultimately, Manager projects the team work under his esteemed guidance by presenting the designed strucutural project to the company / committee by summing up his experience in the ultimate design for the structure.

I, As an Activity manager, worked as an active indicator for the design of Pre-Stressed members. My primary work is to safegaurd the structure in not only for the safe design , but also for safe execution. Placing of tendons at the apt place with pre measured stressing to cause limited strain in the tendons which would de-shape to develop the active stress over the respective structural members in the project. Among all the activities in Design work, I will look out for proper execution in design by design engineers of my team.
