Ethics is the universal principle guiding one's personal conduct, and business ethics are the moral principles or actions to be practiced in order to function properly. Each organization, in order to maintain discipline in the workplace, has set of code of ethics and obligations that all must obey. When it comes to business, workplace ethics is a broad and significant concept. It does this by establishing rules, principles, and values on which we can base our conduct. The most explicitly linked principles of ethics are fact, integrity, justice and equity. Although morals are a societal issue, they are of paramount importance to the vocations serving society. Since experts, for example, physicians, attorneys, consultants, and property and office managers have advantages that affect our health, they develop competent codes of morals that establish detailed conduct guidelines. For Example:

(i) An attorney or physician maintaining client-patient confidentiality.

(ii) An accountant not using client information for personal gain.

Codes of ethics help employees strike a balance between the ends and the means used to obtain them.

Corporate Social Responsibility generally refers to the operation of a business in a socially acceptable manner, that is, in a way that meets the ethical, legal, commercial and/or public expectations that society has of business. CSR is very important for an organization for building a strong identity or reputation in the market. It creates strong image in the customer eyes and helps company to have hold of the market. CSR mirror the qualities and interests of partners inside the association, and the sort of business or industry division in which it exists. For instance, Canadian Business for Social Responsibility is an expert association that incorporates substantial organizations, some of which are freely censured in view of the contamination they produce. However, these same organizations may have exceedingly powerful CSR programs that center result in commendable work conditions for staff and magnificent projects that bolster neighborhood groups and philanthropies. CSR benefits company in many ways which are:

Reduced operating costs,

Enhanced brand and image reputation,

Increased sales and customer loyalty,

Increased ability to attract and retain employees, and

Publicity and increased public image from good works.

So, according to the reasoning and the facts given above, I think ethics and corporate social responsibility are important for business and society.
