Answer: The code of ethics provides a guideline for the ethical behavior by the employees of the company. The code of ethics defines what is right and what is wrong for the employees of the company. Hence it guides the ethical behaviors by the employees of the company. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) focuses on the socially responsible behaviors by the company and its employees. The ethical behaviors are a part of the social responsibility of the company and its employees. The code of ethics prevents the employees of a company to behave in an unethical manner. Thus it reinforces the CSR obligations of the company. The code of ethics ensures that the employees of the company abide by the laws and regulations and work for the betterment of the society. The code of ethics also contains instructions for the employees about their public behavior. It ensures that the employees do not engage in the practices and behaviors that may harm the public and social interests.
