Q 1  In what ways does a network benefit a company? What is the main drawback to implementing a network?

Ans: The network make the benefit of a company in many ways.It basically increases the productivity , increases communication like when we uses to communicate like e-mail , webpages etc . It also help the company by helping the company by file sharing . Few of the main benefits of networks are as follows:

  • By Resource sharing: As we know that in any organization or company the data sharing are the important part between the employee. By using the network-connected peripheral devices such as the scanners, printers, and also share the software between the users.
  • It helps in Increasing the storage capacity : As we know that in the network-attached system we can access the files ,software or any resources like ,images and music etc that are present remotely in the network(other machine).
  • By File sharing : In the network connected system (devices) we an share the data between the different users, and also we can access it from remotely that are present in other devices.

The main drawback to implementing a network: The drawback of implementing a network are as follows:

  • The Cost of the network : This is the one of the drawback of the implementing a network is the cost.It is costly to implement the  cabling and any other equipment in the system.
  • Virus and Malware: This can be possible that the virus and malware that harm the connected network system.
  • It reduces the robustness : This is because in the network system if the bridging device or a central linking devices are fails then the whole network stops down .

Q 2 Why are protocols important for networking?

Ans: As we know that the network protocol gives the rules and regulation that helps the  network to govern the communication. This is basically a set of rules that govern the system by determining the things like the packet type, format, and size. And the main thing is that it also determine the solution when any error occurs in the network. And it handle that error and how that network fails all this things.

In other words we can define it as , it is a standard that gives the details format and sequences for the transferring the data. Few of the main points on importance of protocol in networking are a follows:

  • It helps in transferring the data in different system.'
  • It takes less time to transfer the data.
  • It provide high speed.
  • It is flexible.

By all this points , we can says that the protocols are important in the networking.

Q 3 What are the advantages of a client/server network when compared to a peer-to-peer network?

Ans: The advantages of the client/server network over the peer-to-peer network are as follows:

  • As we know that in the Client/Server Network, the client and the server are differentiable But in the peer-to-peer the Clients and the server are not differentiable.
  • In the client/server network the Centralized server are present that are used for the storage of the data but in the peer-to-peer it is not present.
  • In the client/server network it mainly focuses in the information sharing but in the peer-to-peer it mainly focuses on connectivity.
  • The client/server network are more stable than the peer-to-peer network.

Q 4 What factor usually causes LANs to have a higher bandwidth than WANs?

Ans: As we know that in the LANs operate in the smaller area whereas the WANs operate for the larger area. So that the LANs have the higher bandwidth than the WANs.IN simple word we can say that the LANs has to travel less as compare to WANs. The another factor that helps for the higher bandwidth is that due to the  hardware and cable quality, this improves the data transfer ability .

So by this factors it causes that the LANs have the higher bandwidth than the WANs.

THANKS , i think this will give you a better intuition about your questions. If you have any doubt feel free to ask in the comment section.,
