Ans) Latin words of the English word "education." They are "educare," which means to train or to mold, and "educere," meaning to lead out. One side uses education to mean the preservation and passing down of knowledge and the shaping of youths in the image of their parents.

- The primary caregiving model provides for teachers to have primary daily responsibility for the same small group of toddlers or infants. The system allows for creation of strong bonds between teacher and child and provides parents with a trusted care partnership. Challenges to the system include large child-to-caregiver ratios, matching teachers to children, and a supportive staff environment.

- Teamwork is very important and the care of children is not exclusive to a particular caregiver. Staff help each other with caregiving and organisational tasks, and interact with all children so that children are not unduly distressed by the absence of their primary caregiver due to shift work, illness or other reasons. The use of a regular reliever is also recommended to foster children's security and consistency of care.

- The primary caregiver and children can be matched on the basis of existing child/caregiver bonds; staff shifts that coincide with child arrival/departure times and days of attendance; and staff familiarity with the family through the care of siblings.
