U.S. legislation on immigrants is particularly contentious. Most of the discussion centers on economic consequences, threats to stability and humanitarian issues. U.S. foreign reform is thus a hodge-podge of rules, judicial rulings and administrative orders. So any president will change policies without Congress

Most immigrants are americans, but others have no papers in here. The United States still allows asylum claims from immigrants and from those who turn up at the border. Here are the truth about immigrants from America, and how they are impacting the U.S. economy and you.

In 2016, the US population was foreign-born at 13.5 per cent (43.7 million). Approximately 86.4 million immigrants and their American-born offspring make up a significant 27 per cent of the US population (Migration Policy). Evidence suggests that is a positive idea. Immigrants have a strong long-term impact on the US economy. We boost U.S. business income, job prospects, and economic activity.

Additionally, immigrants prefer to take less-wanted jobs in agriculture and manufacturing. As of 2014, immigrants had a large number of positions in forestry, repair and construction of buildings and grounds. Native-born workers, including advertising and personal services, are more heavily concentrated in better-paid employment than refugees.

Any Americans fear illegal immigrants' economic effects but it is necessary to remember that they are not eligible for benefits. Nearly a third of undocumented aliens, or 3.4 million, are paying income taxes for the Social Security. As of 2010 they and their workers contributed $13 billion to social welfare
