what is Design criteria of Wall, fences and screen?
Design criteria or requirements for screen, wall and fences as :-
1) The height of screen, wall and fencing is measured in a vertical line from the lowest point of contact with the ground directly adjacent to the either side.
2) There is a horizontal separation of at least 5 feet between screen, wall and fence and horizontal separation shall measured from the back face of the lower screen, wall and fence to the front face of higher screen, wall and fence.
3) If the screen, wall and fence are located on the retaining wall then the portion of retaining wall above finished grade is considered as a part of overall height of screen, wall and fence.
4) In driveways, screen, wall and fence shall be located in triangular area of either side of driveway and should not exceed height of three and one-half feet.
5) The height and location of screen, wall and fence within the required intersection sight distance.
6) screen, wall and fence limited to a height of 8 feet within front setbacks ( ranging from 10 to 35 feet in residential zones).
7) The maximum height of wall, screen and fence in front yard of single family duplex shall not exceed 48 inches.
8) The fence shall be constructed with planks not less than 6 inches in width.
9) The fence shall be constructed so that the stringer are not visible from the public rights-of-way or park facilities.
10) All materials used shall be securely fastened to ongoing attractive appearance and safe conditions.
11) Landscape elements shall be incorporated into type 3 screening fence to provide visual screening and pedestrain connectivity from neighborhood to the adjacent street sidewalks.
