The more powerful the house performs these rituals in the society and have several shrines in their house , The opulence of the house will increase . Most houses are of wattle and daub construction but the Shrine rooms of the more wealthy are walled with stone. poor families imitate the rich by applying pottery plaques to their train walls. Each family performs the rituals associated with family ceremonies but they are private and secret.

The focal point of the Shrine is a box or chest which is built into the wall. In this chest are kept the many charms and magical potions without which no native believes he could live. there will be powerful medicine men whose assistance will be rewarded with many gifts . The medicine men do not provide the curative portions for their clients but decide what the ingredients should be and then write them down in an ancient and secret language. This writing is understood only by the medicine man and by the herbalist who for another gift provide the required charm.

I am explaining about the ritual followed and believed in the hindu tradition. The best example is the celebrations of bonalu festival in Telangana state. Every year the celebrations are celebrated with grandeur and the folks believe that the rituals which should be celebrated every year so that there will be sufficient rains every year and the lives of evey one should be happy.
