All Organizations need a structured hierarchy to stabilize internal operation. Organizational hierarchy allows employeed of different level identify the chain on command which serves as a reference point for decision making and approval management.A company without a hierarchy cannot effectively hold its executives, managers and employees accountable. As having a strong organizational structure is paramount to the success of any business , proper organizational structure is necessity in ensuring a successful organization.
The traditional hierarchical organizational structure has top to bottom communication, a "flatter" structure seeks to open up the lines of communication and collaboration while removing layers within the organization.
The traditional Hierarchy type of a model makes sense for linear work where no brain power is required and where the people who work there are treated like expendable cogs.In flatter companies there is a strong focus on communication and collaboration, improving the employee experience, challenging the status quo around traditional management models.
In my opinion flatter organizational hierarchy is better suited in current situation because communication and collaboration is now the key for any organization's success.
