What are the implications of saying that African Americans are owed reparations for other groups of people? For U.S. gov. policy in general?
Answer:
African Americans are owed reparations for other groups of
people.
African community is the oldest group in America after White
peoples and Its contribution to the creation and development of
American society is very much.
It is very difficult to imagine the U.S without African American
people because they are the essential part of our society and one
of the main part of American culture.
But even in the 21st century, they feel discrimination in every
field in society. It is a harsh fact of our society.
Many African American thinkers believed that U.S government only
showed dreams of the free society to African Americans but in
reality, it was just false claims due to white racism.
The main reasons for this failure were cultural backwardness of
Negro’s and racism towards the black people by white people. white
racist people believed that blood if black people should not enter
into the society of the nation.
White people or people of European lineage believed that they were
superior to the people of other descent.
But the concept of race plays an important role in justifying
discrimination.
According to it, only white people are men. Therefore, they are
created equal but people of other descent like black, yellow, red,
and brown are inferior. Hence, the phrase like, all men are created
equal, not applicable to them.
This argument helps to give justification of the cruel acts like
racial discrimination and violence.
