Explain children's mental health crisis in the U.S .

Solutions

Expert Solution

Children in America are increasingly becoming mentally instable due to the increased level of individualism and changing family structures. This would mean that people are more selfish and are not ready to sacrifice for their children thus, they keep switching partners and change their family relationship, thus leaving the children stranded and confused most of the time. Children are also left with their own self among the gadgets and internet accessibility that leaves them vulnerable to a virtual life. Thus, they would find it difficult to keep healthy relationships, love materials, build trust on the society etc. All these would contribute directly to the mental health crisis of the children. They would lack proper supporting system from the family and would be left without many people around them to help them when they are in trouble. Academic institutions would focus more on the intellectual ability of the children and not on their personal issues and help them overcome them which would indirectly affect them.
