I truly believe in culture, and this has definitely shaped by life. India culture is known world wide for the variety of goodness that it carries. Culture is set of values and beliefs towards self and the society. Indian culture mostly believes in having patience, keeping calm, giving respect to individual. It does not allows freedom to young children like in western countries. It balances out everything.

Goals and ambitions - Since it is mostly believed that women are responsible for kids and household activities which are equally important. I was being told to care of family and also pursue my career which is stressful at points but it seems to be ok by practise. Hence I have chosen my career as a freelancer wherein I am able to balance out between activities. At times I feel that I had to compromise a lot=, but raising kid again is such a joy that I can not imagine my kid to be left at day care.

Values - Indian culture ad values are beautiful. We have been taught to give respect to elders, we treat our parents as god. We give lot of love and attention to guests who come. We enjoy neighbourhood and we are more social people than any other. I truly care for others, since it is there within me.

Self -Identity - All the above mentioned points in addition to what others perceive us form the self identity. I also enjoy Indian festivals, marriages, I enjoy the modified values which anyones need to change due to changing times. But still sticking to culture gives confidence, certainty etc. One feels secure even in out world when one thinks of ow culture.

Relationships with others - They are more friendly, welcoming, loving since we value every relationship, even with our distant relatives. We share problems and happiness and are not restricted to the nuclear family.

Yes certainly I would have developed a different personality, if raised at different background. Suppose is western culture, I would have been more open, more western, more focused on me and myself. Would have thought on spending money or time on my close and loved ones.
